About
I’m Alex Mickanin, a recent graduate of CU Boulder ENVD.
I grew up in Massachusetts, playing hockey goalie for 13 years before starting to venture out into more artistic branches in late High School.
I found interests in painting and guitar as a means of expressing myself outside of the stress of high level sport. Ultimately, this led to me exploring various avenues in my own life where I could make myself feel marginally more comfortable.
Through this desire, I found interest in the nuances of how different people perceive things. I believe architecture to be the most visceral artistic medium we have.
“If you wanna talk about influence, man, then you've got to realize that influence is not influence. It's simply someone's idea going through my new mind.”
